A Working Group is made up of a wide cross section of local people, is set to promote and actively engage in a consultation process with the community. Their aim being to identify areas for regeneration within their community and to inform project development from the grass roots.
At regular monthly or bi-monthly meetings the Working group will receive presentations from developing projects, thus informing the communities of the development of the project. This is a valuable tool as the developer of the project will be able to gain support for the project to be submitted to BCP for appraisal.
There is currently one working group that has been set up as part of the Partnership. To download the governance documents that are related to Working Groups please go to the Library.
A topic group is a sub group of the working group. The topic group allows the community to engage in the regeneration process and feed in their ideas, expertise and skills to the monthly or bi monthly meetings of the working group. Currently BCP are developing topic groups to address issues these are covering certain areas of interest. Such as Environment, infrastructure, youth health, heritage, improving under used community facilities, economic development (premises), these groups are not yet all developed.
Any topic groups that are set up are supported with specialised assistance where appropriate. If you would like to start a topic group, or have an idea that you feel would be beneficial please download the expressions of interest form.
