The project is to establish and administer a fund from which small grants will be made to finance the development and/or implementation of community based regeneration projects.
To be eligible for grant funding, projects will be required to help toward achieving one or more of the Bath Communities Partnership objectives:
Enhance the employment prospects, education and skills of local people.
Address social exclusion and enhance opportunities for the disadvantaged.
Promote sustainable regeneration, improving and protecting the environment and infrastructure, including housing.
Support and promote growth in local economies and businesses. Tackle crime and drug abuse and improve community safety.
Reduce health inequalities, and improve health indicators in target areas and groups.
Empower disadvantaged communities and groups to be integral to decision making.
In addition, applicants will be required to demonstrate that they:
Have evidence of need/community support.
Have considered other options for achieving the projects aims.
Will achieve measurable outputs.
For existing projects, development of the project to provide new activities or facilities that will achieve benefits and outputs additional to those already provided.
Are complementary in relation to other activities.
Have funding from other sources that will match and not duplicate RDA funding
Effective arrangements for implementation, management and monitoring.
An exit/forward strategy for the project.
Applicants will need to be able to contribute at least 25% othe total funding they require from other named sources. This contribution could be wholly or partly in kind. The maximum grant suggested for the scheme is £2,000.
