Project summary
The Co-op is based in the South West Triangle (SWT) area and is open to anyone living in the area, although with a particular emphasis on parents of young children, the elderly and people who cannot currently afford fresh vegetables and fruit. The delivery scheme is currently focused specifically on those people with access problems.
The project aims to increase the effectiveness and secure the future of the Southside Food Co-op - which provides access to healthy, affordable, fresh food and increases knowledge about healthy eating and cookery skills within the target area. Undertake outreach and development work; expand cookery classes, home deliveries, feasibility study for community café.
