Bath Communities Partnership

How can we help you?

How we help

This page provides up to date information on the partnership, its current funding streams and how they can be applied to benefit community and voluntary groups.

We envisage the future development of this page to form the basis of a message board that will allow project delivers to exchange information and ideas. Please do watch this space regularly to check for updates.

BCP's current status to date

The current BCP funding stream received from South West Regional Development Agency (RDA) in 2002, was made available to fund projects with an economic outcome, with a small percentage made available for capacity building initiatives.

From the beginning of 2003 to the end of the lifetime of this current funding stream in March 2007, BCP have funded and have projected funding for circa a million pounds.

In November 2004 BCP completed a mid-term review of the current regeneration scheme. This was used to assess the delivery to date of the mandatory key indicators, and hard outputs within the delivery plan, as agreed by the RDA. The review revealed that we have achieved and, in certain instances exceeded the stated hard outputs. As a consequence of this the Partnership are in the process of commissioning projects where the review revealed a shortfall.

Linking the community

BCP are more than simply a grant giving organisation, and also have Community Link Coordinators working with local voluntary and community organisations to assist them with any training needs, accessing alternative funding streams and initiating new groups with their constitutions and terms of reference. Please contact Martha Cox for the South West Triangle or for the City of Bath for more information.
