Bath Communities Partnership Open Day
Bath Communities Partnership (BCP), an alliance of public and private organisations including Bath & North East Somerset Council, is holding an open day to explain to groups what kind of funding they could bid for.
The Partnership has confirmed that money is available for two specific areas:
The money can be spent on the following:
Capital projects
Revenue projects
Councillor Malcolm Hanney, Deputy Leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: "It is a great opportunity for local people to come and ask questions about any ideas that they may have regarding any projects that they would like BCP to possibly consider funding. Bath & North East Somerset Council is very pleased to support such a scheme that will improve the vitality of the community and focus resources on areas where it is most needed. All project submissions will be subject to the BCP Appraisal Process."
The BCP Programme management team will be in Green Park Station between 10.30am and 3pm on Thursday, 27 September to answer any questions and will be happy to assist or make visits to organisations wishing to or potential applicants who cannot visit on the day. Bath Communities Partnership (BCP)
BCP came together in 2000 and are made up from a range of organisations, public, private, community and voluntary sectors an investment of £50K was provided by the South West Regional Development Agency (South West RDA) to conduct a consultation identifying which areas of the City would benefit from a investment of funding and resources to help bring them in line with areas which are better off. The Partnership were awarded £1.5M in 2002 by the SW RDA to invest in projects which would meet the stated criteria. The funding of slightly over £400,000 currently available is the last tranche drawn from the original grant
