Choosing Health

Can your organisation help?

Bath Communities Partnership work on behalf of communities in Bath with greatest need.

The recent publication of the government white paper Choosing Health: Making Healthier Choices Easier  acknowledges that some people, such as children, need more help and protection than others. It also sets out actions where the government needs to intervene when one person’s choice can affect another person’s health, such as second hand smoke.  The paper outlines six priority areas for action which include:

  • reducing the number of people who smoke;
  • reducing obesity and improving diet and nutrition;
  • increasing exercise; encouraging sensible drinking;
  • improving sexual health and improving mental health.

If your organisation has a good idea to address the six priority areas Denice Burton of the B&NES PCT Trust would very much like to hear from you.  You can contact Denice Burton on 01225 831477.
