Project Summary
The project will establish a Media Academy aimed at raising and enhancing the educational achievement and future education and employment opportunities of Black and Minority Ethnic young people.
The programme will include: A weekly Saturday Academy for Young People, Specialist Accredited Media Workshops (Titles will include ‘Producing Video for the Internet', ‘Running a Profitable Website', ‘Magazine Design', ‘Media Event Management' and a ‘Digital Entrepreneur Programme' aimed at giving young people the skills and support to establish their own media business.
The academy will provide both the opportunity for young people to extend and develop their knowledge and ability in both national curriculum subject areas and develop their skills and experience in the media arts.
