Project summary
The Rose Cottage Centre is the outcome of the vision of Christians of various denominations in Twerton. Its aim is to give local people a home from home, a safe place to meet and to get some help if needed. It is also a place where people can talk about their problems, learn new skills, and interact with others in a safe environment. The centre is volunteer urn with Chris Brann as a full time manager.
This project would allow people of all ages but especially young people, single parents and job seekers to improve their IT skills. It will provide people with limited or no IT access the chance to use the internet. The project will link with Fotect and Twerton Learning Centre so that people using those training facilities have a place to practice and improve. By sending those who need more training to Fotect and TLC to gain those extra skills and qualifications.
There will also be a controlled and supervised session for children who do not have computer access, therefore allowing them to complete homework and project research in a friendly and safe environment.
