Project summary

This project aims to develop a youth forum through holding five planning meetings and five team building events with local young people from the South West Triangle (SWT).

The project will be delivered by youth workers, to build relationships with the young people and to encourage forming there own youth forum within the SWT area. Young people will be targeted through local schools and youth workers in the area who are already working with young people. It is anticipated that 25 young people will engage in the process, and a core of 12 will see the process through to the formation of the Youth Forum.

The Youth Democracy Team and local detached youth worker will be involved in delivering the project by going into local schools at PSE time to talk about the opportunities available. They will also run the planning meetings, team building events and a residential.
